hi please can someone help me, i was give my vu zero i clean flash and as been having a problem with it crashing so was thinking to just reflash nice and clean start.
so as a rule i always check and make sure i can connect to box via file zila just to make sure i can do the ftp bits after the reflash i like to put my own chan list and things in but i am having major problems connecting to the box, i put the ip in to the host and root in to the user name and the box wont connect any help would be appriciated.

check the ip address on the box to see if you have the correct one
it's in menu , setup , network

thanks done this its all correct i done this a good few times to udate the chan list
but tonight it just dosnt want to connect for some reason doing me head in now ha

to connect to receiver i need ip address, root as password, dreambox as username (or maybe root & dreambox are the other way round)

does the box respond to ping? just to check its visible on the network

How do I do this please.

Windows command prompt should have the ping command.

Open command prompt and type: ping "ip address of box"

eg ping 192.168.1.1
