Hi

Had an ET8000 for about 3 weeks now and have got most things tweaked to the point where it's working well. However I'd like to modify the Skin that I've got installed (YouVix Green) to make a couple of minor changes. I've found the timeline-now graphic that I'd like to tweak, and have replaced it in /usr/share/enigma2/YouViX-green/epg however I cannot get the changes I make to be displayed.

Do I have to force a rebuild/clear cache or something? - if so how do I do that?

Similarly I've edited some picons and replaced them on the box, but the old ones are still being displayed, again, how do I get the new stuff to be displayed?

Any help appreciated.

Some things are held in memory and written back when put into standby therefore try the following:

1. Using telnet (or something similar) issue command "init 4" to put box to sleep
2. Make any changes you want/wish
3. Go back to telnet session and issue command "init 6" to reboot box.

Thank you, I'll give it a try.

What ended up working for me was
Menu->Setup->System->User Interface->Skin setup
Then reselecting the skin and getting the gui to restart

Though the restart commands via ssh are useful to know

Thanks again

When I was working on MetrixHD I found it massively timesaving to use the web interface on my phone to restart the GUI
