My dad has a humax hdr1000s free sat box and I'm wondering if you can flash it with openVIX or similar?

Lots of dual tuner E2 boxes on the sponsors site, cheaper than the Humax HDR1000S. :confused:

The Humax is a box my dad had been using and was in his loft so I was just seeing if I could modify that before buying him one.

I bought my VU+ Solo2 of WOS and extremely impressed. I just need to find a cheap one for him that will do the job.

You could use the Hard drive from the Humax.

Yeah I think I will be doing that, may as well get some use out of it, just need to find a cheap receiver for it to go in 😉
