Have purchased a 1tb sata hard drive for a T8 plus-s but it needs to be formatted to fat 32. Can I use my VU+Duo2 to format hard drive if so how please.

why FAT ? In your box it needs EXT format.

Why fat32 ?, it's because the hard drive needs to be formatted in fat32 for it to work in my T8 plus-s.

I think you would be better trying to format it using a Windows laptop via USB if you can connect it that way?

Never done it but I think you have to initialize it via the box to ext4 - this is linux way of formatting your hdd

Sorry, was just trying to help. I'm pretty sure then that your answer will be no, you can't format it in your VU+ to FAT32.

Not sure if u initialise hard drive and convert to ext3 or ext4 it will formate to fat32.
