5.1 sound in iptv

Hi all, any help on this greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to get surround sound through iptv, tsmedia etc? Everything for me defaults to pcm, 2.0 regardless of the settings.

That is usually because the streams are aac, you would need
A, an amp that supports 5.1 aac streams
B, a stream that is actually 5.1, most are only 2.0
C, turn of aac down mix in audio settings.
