Hi
Can anyone tell me what the green icon that flashes on the information bar is for
that's on the (bottom of the screen)to the right of the HD image is flashing for, is it to say that it is decrypting the channel or trying to decrypt the channel

If your image is less than 3.2 023, you should not update.

Create a backup, flash new image, restore your backup.

Hi, I have had this green icon/arrow flashing too for the last few days, when I try to do a software update on the box it ends up freezing and I end up turning off rear power switch to get working again.

Can you give a detailed instruction of how best to do backup/flash/restore please as I am still finding my way with the basics at the moment :thumbsup:

Can you update the image that easy just the 3 steps you say ?
Do I have to do anything to the image before I reload the backup?

Even finding the image number was a big search for me :confused: image manager shows openvix-gbquadplus-release-SoftwareUpdate-3.2.021-20

Is it ok to continue with this as with the exception of the slightly annoying green circle/arrow the box seems pretty stable and recording fine so far.

On another subject I am having issues getting picons I loaded onto a usb to work so can anyone recommend picons from the Vix Picon plugin list that would be recommended for Uk/Ireland channels please.

Download and install(restore) the latest one. 026 at the time of writing.

To find out detail of image you are on:
Menu > Information > About
