Sorry but bit of a newbie here. Can I change my version from hades 018 to the openvix 3.2 on my vu+ duo. Is it just a matter of reflashing with the new image. Is there any benefit to changing images. Any information would be great

no problem to change but a full flash is requiered.Save al your settings to pc (channel lists,camsettings etc) and set them back with FTP.You than have a clean restart.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am terrified of loosing my settings lol might just leave it the way it is.

just save your settings on your PC by FTP.Then you always can put them back.I always have my tuner settings, camsettings ,LCD4 and channel settings on my PC.Channellist I transfer with DBE (dreamboxedit) an others with DCC (dreambox command center).You can also make a image backup so you always can erstore that to hades again.Just be aware that the feeds are active.I do not know if the links for addons are still working with the old image.

Have a look at the release thread. There are video guides to help you. You can backup the current image and restore it later if there is a huge problem.

Cams are available as plugins on the feeds.
