protecting network

hi,

I've been using port forwarding and dyndns to get my box to stream and as of late, have noticed that it is being accessed when no-one(that i know) is streaming. i think someone may have accessed it and now i can't record or use any twin tuner features.
is there anyway to secure this connection?
