I recently got my box and it was pre flashed from WOS i had some issue's which i admit i caused and i didn't know how to fix them so i reflashed the box using an image from WOS page. After i reflashed i saw the errors that i made and i didn't need to reflash anyway...

I have lots of duplicate channels like 4x ITV HD's for example and only one of them clear, i get the error 'Service not found! (SID not found in PAT) and some channels are missing like Sport Europe HD and Sports News HD (not sure of the rules but you can guess the bits i've left out).

It's quite annoying especially as my parents use the box mostly. Is there anything i'm doing wrong?

I tried to select an AutoBouquets scan but my virgin area isn't shown in the list... is there somewhere i can add a custom one for my region? If so where do i get it from?

My details are: Harrow NTL/EX C&W, 41047 6952

Navigate to
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers

Using a linux compatible editor, such as notepad++, add the following line under the 41046 entry:

<configuration key="hd_41047_dvbc_uk" netid="41047" bouquettype="hd" frequency="666750" symbol_rate="6952000" system="0" fec_inner="3" inversion="2" modulation="3">41047 Harrow</configuration>

You should be able to run ABM with that selection. If that does not work, you will have to do use this process:
http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?38120-Logs-for-Pure-area-required

Please post back if it works, we can then add the location to ABM

thanks for the quick reply, so harrow now shows up but the scan fails (cannot read data), i managed to telnet to my box and run the command and got the below:

root@mbhybrid:~# opkg install dvbsnoop
Installing dvbsnoop (1.4.50-r1) on root.
Downloading http://www.openvix.co.uk/feeds/openvix/release/3.2/inihde2/mips32el/ dvbsnoop_1.4.50-r1_mips32el.ipk.
Configuring dvbsnoop.
root@mbhybrid:~#

but now i don't know what to do here:

FTP the extracted file "NIT_analyser.py" to /tmp/
CHMOD file to 755 properties

where is the extracted file NIT_analyser.py?

Downlaod the file. Unzip/unrar it. It willbe where you extarct/unrar/unzip it to.
Use filezilla to transfer the file to /tmp on receiver
Right click on it and click on "file permissions", change from 644 to 755

ok so i navigated to url the url shown in putty and downloaded dvbsnoop_1.4.50-r1_mips32el.ipk i then extracted the files and i now have

control.tar.gz
data.tar.gz
debian-binary

You have installed Dvbsnoop. Forget that.

Download "NIT_analyser 18 may.rar"

Unzip/unrar/extract "NIT_analyser 18 may.rar" on your PC
Transfer "NIT_analyser.py" to /tmp directory on receiver
Chmod 755 "NIT_analyser.py"

Ensure you are on an active cable channel

Telnet the following command
cd /tmp

Telnet the following command
python NIT_analyser.py

Three files will be created in the tmp directory, "nit.bin, nit.log anddvbc.xml". Transfer to your PC. Zip/rar them. Please upload them here as attachments once done.

Just remembered, 41047 does not exist anymore. Pretty sure it is the old Wembley area.

Try Watford. If that does not work, you will have to go through the list of areas one at a time.

Hi abu baniaz,

Hopefully you might be able to assist, i was also in 41047 (kingsbury). As that no longer exists according to your previous post, i tried Watford but that did not work either. All other areas don't seem close.

Shall i just go through each one and hope for the best? at the moment i get the "SID not found in PAT" when using ABM.

Or is there another method i have misseD?

thanks for your help.

i have gone through a few, it finds services but channels don't show up. If i do a full scan i get 600 channels. Does that seem right so far?

do i need to update netid on tuner config each time as well before scanning on ABM?

i did use NIT_analyser if that helps with anything

sorry for all the questions.

Q. Do i need to update netid on tuner config each time as well before scanning on ABM?
A. No.

S: i have gone through a few, it finds services but channels don't show up. If i do a full scan i get 600 channels. Does that seem right so far?
R: If you use the wrong NetID, it will not work or you will get SID not found in PAT issues. If you have signal levels that re not good enough, some channels will be just blank.

S: i did use NIT_analyser if that helps with anything
R: Please upload it just in case somthing comes up. Do you have a USB tuner that you can connect to PC download stream data with?

Do you have a USB tuner that you can connect to PC download stream data with? - i don't unfortunately

have uploaded the file.

So it looks like wrong netid when using ABM maker as full scan is working. Just need to find the right one.

EDIT: Best to attach to thread

That is the best option. It is in the engineers menu.
