Just use OScam on its own.

Two at same time stresses the box, and is unnecessary.

Yes using both oscam and CCcam together may be unnecessary but it certainly does not stress any of the boxes I have them running on.

Sorry, no one here can help you to set up OScam as a client wthout breaking forum rules.

You will have to try another forum.

Yes, l have tried it, but not working. What l released after l converted d file to oscam.server, when l ftp it to etc/tuxbox/config it shown oscam.server.bak.

DaMacFunkin

That is probably because the cam is running, find softcam manager under blue button and stop oscam, now ftp files and then restart cam (also set to auto start).

lorlor

I have tried it, still not working. It seems something is not work.

lorlor

10-11-15, 17:42
instead of FTP you can edit the file with copy and paste also.Just open the file on your box and paste the config in it.Then save.I do that all the time to see specific channels for educational purposes.

lorlor
10-11-15, 17:46
Where do l need to paste it in config? Is it oscam.server,oscam.conf, oscam.user or create or create new one there. Thanks

bellejt
10-11-15, 18:07
you can edit in all fields you want.File depends on what you need to change.I just change the server file with extra READER.Do not forget to restart oscam by webif (ipadress box:port oscam . In my case standard 8081).Use right mouse button when standing on file side off the box in FTP program.I use DCC.

lorlor
10-11-15, 18:36
But l just want to use it as client. Bcuz u mention reader and webif but l dont know how to configure them more so l dont have card on my box l mean smart card and smart cam.

bellejt
10-11-15, 18:46

Right before you hang yourself in a street with no trees, why don't you remove anything that can identify you and your system from the files in tuxbox/config and then zip them up and post them, maybe some kind sole will have a look and give you some pointers.
Remember no illegal stuff, we won't help with that.

Add a [dvbapi] section to the .conf file.

Do this using the webif, and go to each config file in turn and save it using the webif command -- that corrects small errors.

lorlor
11-11-15, 15:04
pls how can l add it bcuz l ftp it but not transfer.

lorlor
11-11-15, 17:07

You enter the Ip address of your receiver combined with ":" and the defined port number for oscam into your browser. The port number is specified in your oscam.conf

If your IP receiver's IP address is 192.168.0.6, you would enter the following into your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc)
192.168.0.6:8888

l dont know what to addd to [dvbapi] section to the .conf file. Pls help me.

bellejt
14-11-15, 14:22
maybe it is easyer to do it another way if you can FTP to the box.Go into box by FTP and copy the files in oscam to your PC .Then remove the files on the box and ftp new files to box.Should work.
PS : for finding the right port to open Webif from oscam go into config file on your box and see witch port is used.Use the RIGHT mouse button to go into file

Hello you have been told that oscam webif is your boxes IP address followed by a port, this port is in your config file, my port is set to 8888 so I would type into an explorer address bar :
192.168.1.181:8888
This would then ask me for my username and password which I had previously set in the config file.
If you havnt set the config file up yourself your port might not be 8888, you need to find this information from the config file, without you accessing oscam webif we can't help with your time outs.

16-11-15, 14:03
If you using an official card and getting freezing them you need the change the settings in oscam, if you not using an official card then really this forum is not the correct place to discuss you problems. If its not an official card check you internet connection, change cams and try cccam and see if it persists.

Dude honestly.... I had to take a 44 tonne truck out today coz a driver didn't turn in, Most people are not on the end of a device all day long just to provide support, I spent most of Saturday trying to sort my own s**t out, when I am available if I can answer a question I will, but that is certainly never whilst driving an HGV through busy streets and villages.
As it is when you get into oscam webif you need to change the timeout in global config, if you are accessing your local cable card set it to 8000ms, i personally have mine set to 10000ms.
If it is sat you will need much lower values but that all depends on what card you have.

.... If you are driving 44 tonne trucks.... I had better set myself a note to never upset you:) .... Mind you when you live in a country where normally a truck has a trailer at least as big as the vehicle in front you get used to avoidance techniques :)

If you can't access oscam webif, it's either nor running - check blue button -> Softcam Manager, or you're using the wrong port - check /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam.conf - httpport for correct port to use.
