All OpenViX users please note that we are testing GST 1.6.1, currently we use 1.6.0, theres a number of bug fixes in 1.6.1 that should improve media playback and live streams. If we decide to move to this newer GST1.6.1 users will be advised to re-flash and restore settings at some point. If implemented we will advice which build.

EDIT: 23/11/15. All user's please note Release build 3.2.023 contains updated GST1.6.1, all user's will need to re-flash and restore settings at a minimum. Or fresh flash and setup. See post 8 below for guides.

My box has picked up the update build 21. Info shows GST 1.6.1 so as before, does this mean doing a flash instead of online update?

Update build 21 installed through the update option on my VU+ Solo SE. The stuterring issue seems to be fixed, but before the update, on the Update info popup, something written about GST 1.6.1.
Then, when update done, when doing, menu > Info > About : GST version is 1.6.0, while running Build 21.

So I tried to see through "Software update" (just after having done the Update 21 ) but " Nothing to upgrade".

I guess that it is the same as Lxt1024. (Sorry for my bad syntax and my bad english, i need too some updated english lessons  )

what you are seeing in the log regarding gst 1.6.1 is just that its been added to the oe-a git for use when teams want to use it.

you will see new info again when openvix decides to move onto 1.6.1

Another bump, next build should be released in 2-3 days. Will need a flash and fresh setup or settings/plugins restore.

Maybe when it's announced on download site, it's also maybe mentioned there as well?

Just a thought !!

I would agree with bbbuk re making the most important announcements a little more prominent on the site. The hard work and dedication you guys put in for us is phenomenal. For it to pay off it needs to be more widely published here so that as many users as possible can take full advantage of what is on offer.

Definitely not a criticism of how things are currently managed but maybe a gentle nudge toward making the announcements more widely read.

Like you said abu, only a handful of people have saw your original posting.

Hi Guys, first post on this site.
Looking for help regards losing channels on VU+DUO box. I have had two providers recently and I've had issues with losing channels with both. Wasn't sure if it was box related or provider. I must be very unlucky if it's the providers. Reading earlier about the recent update, can it be something like that that's causing the issue, should I update to Openvix 3.2.023???
Could do with help guys... Cheers

You should rescan your providers with ABM if possible just incase of channel changes, there have been a lot of movement on 19.2 this week.

I am closing this thread. If you have an issue, please start a support thread. That way you get help for the issue being reported instead of having multiple issues in one thread. Please see link below.
