I really hope someone can help with this:

I installed a skin that my box obviously has a problem with, now as VIX loads it gets caught in a loop. I assume my only option here is to re flash the VIX image..

I have tried about 5 diferent USB sticks from really old 256mb ones to a fairly new 8mb Kingston DTSE9 formatted with HP USB disk formatter to FAT 32
I have even tried a low level formatting programme and Windows full and quick format (FAT 32)

Loaded with 'et9x00' VIX image folder (tried copying to USB with Windows and Teracopy

Every time the same happens... the front panel recognises the image and asks OK / Cancel to flash, I hit OK on the front of the box (behind panel) and nothing.....

It continues to boot the existing image and loop

If a skin is causing an E2 bootloop, you can still telnet or FTP to the box & delete that skin. It will then boot to the default skin.

Because I have replaced the box with my openbox as a temporary measure when I reconnect the Xtrend how will I know its new IP address?
And where would I find skin files please?

Thank you
