There is no password by default, if you have one set that you have forgotten then your basically limited to reflashing a new image in order to remove / reset the password.

you can reflash the image but beware you will loose all of your settings such as cams and configs so make a backup first (dont restore the backup as it will restore the password but you can extract your cam configs from it). you may be able to extract the password from a settings backup but its not something i have ever really looked into.

Another option would be to go into CronTimers (Menu / Timers ) and create a job that runs the command
passwd -d root
and then whatever time you set it to run it will clear the root password.

I suppose if there is a backup from the time where there was no root password, restoring THAT backup would probably do it. But it may be too old to be of any use, compared to just flashing without restore.
