Channel help ET9500

Im new to these boxes as you may have already gathered :) On first installing the box it asks me where to scan for channels one is 28.2E astra . Im getting lots of the same channels repeated. Is there particular ones which are best to use when getting the channels ? Also on the screen the box which shows the menu options is way over to the left how can i get it so I can see it properly :)

Set up ABM for your area and provider and forget about service scans.

You can do similar for Freeview UK (terrstrial) using some of the other options if your reception is via an aerial

Then perhaps use the web interface to modify the channel list. See

Menu screen too far to the right/left usually means that you TV is over scanning and there should be a menu option on the TV to stop this happening
On my TV its in picture options
Auto wide
16:9
Wide Zoom
Zoom
4:3
Just Scan <------------------------------ this is the selected option on my TV,on your TV the option may be labelled diffently
