8!!! seriously I tried 3 top of the range develo ones and they where all right for joe bloggs with 2.4 kids but they are inherently flawed by design and as such shouldn't be used for time critical stuff, after testing the home plugs which where reportedly connected at 478mbs against cat6 wire for speed & reliability i ripped my floorboards up and cat6 wired the house, my ping was twice as fast.

Thank you mate so if I buy 4 pairs they will all work with each other? the reason I ask I brought a pair from b and q and they wouldn't work with more than the pair.thank you

You need to make sure the plugs support the same protocol.

You can mix and match.

I have three different version and all work fine - one set is even 500Mb and rest 200.

i have 3 devlo's (500 mbps) around the house (walls thicker than your average house ) and they work fine. in fact I could do with a couple more around for full wifi access (there also Ethernet)
