Picking up receiver with the laptop

A while ago my laptop was picking up my receiver (xpeedlx2)....since then I've a new laptop and have changed from hades to openvix...and can't seem to get the laptop to see it....is there anything I need to download from plugins to get it to find the box....

If you mean that you cannot use "my computer" to conenct to your receiver....

You need to install Samba in the Network Settings. Just slect it, and it you will be prompted to install. It is no longer installed by default.
