connect to box via android

Is it possible to connect to my android tablet or phone and watch from the box
if it is possible is it only through wi-fi? Or can it be done via 3g

Yes you can, just type in IP address of box and click on little stream icon.

You can do it outside network but u need to set ip forwarding and potential for hack if not done properly.

I've clicked on the stream option on the left hand side....it only says movies below it.which are my recordings that I've recorded...when I hit play on one of the movies it plays on the TV not my tablet...

Dont click the stream option on the lefthand side

At the top of the page on left
click main

then television


Then boquets
click on the boquet you want
That will display the stations in that boquet

On the right hand side you should see 3 little icons

Hover your mouse over these and you will see the first little screen says show epg
2nd little screen says stream
3rd little screen says stream transcoded

if you click on the little icon that says stream it should prompt you for what media player you want to use to view

I think this is what the previous poster meant when he said click on stream


You can also use an app like dreamdroid or vu+player

Tried that but no luck....when I hit main,television, and select channel it gives me two icons...one on the right downloads something like stream.m3u....but can't open file...icon on the left brings up EPG for the channel....it has icons for timers and if I hit play icon it changes it to that channel on TV....had a look at the vu+ player all also....is there a standard password for it

also when prompted for what player you want to use uncheck the

always use this player

That way if the player you try does not work next time you try you can pick a different one
when you find one that works you can check the box

I can't seem to pick my box up...is there something I need to activate on the box
