As the title which image do you recommend for Dreambox DM500+?
I purchased a Dreambox DM500+, and i currently have Gemini (no idea which version), but is there a "better" image you guys could recommend?

Well you convinced me! I'm going to flash to Commando!
But which one should i use for my DM500+?
I've seen Commando version a, b, c, d etc etc..
Will Commando 15.1a work for DM500+?

Or is it just for DM500-C and DM500-S?

Latest public image is 15.1a

The same image works on either cable or satellite version.

Can i flash it by using FTP and Telnet?
My laptop doesn't have a COM port :(

Unfortunately you will find that commando only supports dm500c & dm500s

dm500plus support is limited, have a look for the pcd image http://www.i-have-a-dreambox.com/
