I always used Promax range of spectrum analyzer. Pricey but very good.

If it is only for private use, then why not something like Enigma signal meter app (runs on laptop, android or windows phone) ... I have used it many times over the last 3 years to set up (very accurately) my 1.0 , 1.25 and now 1.5M dishes. :)

I set up a Wavefrontier T90 with no previous experience using this meter SATlink WS-6906. Cheap cheerful and does the job. To be honest i can't see what a meter that costs 10 times as much or more could do to justify the outlay.

Why isn't E2 working?

Why isn't E2 working? For E2 app to work needs signal lock. With a proper spectrum analyser you can see the satellite and recognize it without lock.

Ah, presumed the multiple LNBs were feeding into a DiSEqC switch?

For me, I just a bleeper to get me on the 28.2E beam and then use the satmeter app ... for you the Sky signal is so strong it should be relatively easy - with my marginal position I am either on or off the beam, but can still do it - with patience :)
.... but understand where you are coming from ... its probably a lot faster with the hardware meter. :)

@ Judge: The system I have now are multiple quad LNBs and multiple DiSEqC switch Sat hanging E 13 / E 19/ E23-25/ E28.5 the rest (6-8) I still need to install E and W.

@ Twol: I wish I could look at Sky channels (sky box are hard to get here abroad) and if you get one you pay a lot of $$$ for year subscription.
