View Full Version : Timeshift
I have the timeshift feature working with my duo 2 and latest version of hades, when you press pause it takes a few seconds for the screen to pause and timeshift to kick in just want to check this is normal?
Thanks
Instant hear using an xtrend but I have had that a couple of times in the past I think i t might be the channel your using
It takes a few seconds and sometimes the screen will go blue for a second before returning.
Offt I don't get that i run permanent time shift so that could be why, but if I hit pause it just pauses, rewind rewinds no stalling or anything just works using hades 18
Have you got timeshift to automatically start when you change channels or do you have it switched off and are telling the disk to sleep when it is not required? If the latter the delay after hitting pause may be the time taken to spin up the disk from sleep.
On my ET10k I have timeshift automatically starting a few seconds after switching channels and the pause is near instantaneous.
As a test, I turned off auto timeshift and let the disk go into standby/sleep. Pausing does now take longer
I have time shift set to auto, not sure on the hdd setting thought will look in this when I get home.

The HDD setting shouldn't matter if timeshift is set to auto/always as the disk will not have a chance to go to sleep.
Timeshift is set on auto after two seconds
Anyone else having these same issues or is standard as its the same on my solo 2 ??

yes, i have the same issue on my duo2... it's claimed to be a vu driver bug.
Is there a fix for it?
Thanks

Anyone heard of any update on this issue/bug?
I get it on my Solo2 too, with Vix v32.
My timeshift location is to /media/usb which is a 64GB usb stick. So I don't believe that the issue is due to HDD spinning up.
It's a very annoying issue!
I also tried changing the "timeshift after" setting to 10 secs, as suggested above, but it didn't work for me. ;(
no fix yet... waiting as well.
