I have my Xtrend ET10000 almost set up the way I want it. Very many thanks to the Vix team for developing such a great system.

However, I am a little confused about autotimers and recording. There is very little about it in the Vix manual and I am used to the "Series link" interface on the Sky box.

1. There seem to be two ways of making auto timers from the epg. The first is to add an autotimer via the green or blue button. The send is to press "record", when a sky-type popup appears with the timer/ autotimer option. There seems to be a difference between the two methods.
When I use the blue button, I get a menu entitled "Import auto timer". When i press OK I find myself in another menu in which I can then press "Save".
When I use the record button and the auto timer popup, nothing seems to happen. Is this correct? What method should I use?

2. I cannot seem to be able to activate the "Show autotimer list". This may be because I have changed the buttons for some commands. However, I cannot find the "Show auto timer list" command in the list of commands accessible to change buttons in the User interface. Pressing blue just adds a new auto timer, but does not show the list. How do I activate the list autotimers command?

3. On my Sky box all series links recordings for a particular show are put in a separate folder with the relevant name. Is it possible to do this with Vix/Enigma?

The import autotimer list is for you to specify recording parameters.

If you leave everything as default it will only record a time with that exact title, time span and day.

I tend to untick everything be cept the first and last option.

To see your AT list it's menu timers autotimers.

Looks like a bug with the record button in EPG list. It should give u same options

3. On my Sky box all series links recordings for a particular show are put in a separate folder with the relevant name. Is it possible to do this with Vix/Enigma?Yes. You will have to create a directory/folder for it, make it a Bookmark (or Location - depending on where you are in the menus). You can then select it as a Custom location when setting up the autotimer.
It won't happen automatically (and you may not wish it to anyway, as you might want to file all documentaries under Documentary, all music under Music, etc.).

Many thanks. I have also discovered the auto timer help pages that are quite useful.
