backing up hard drive

I have just ordered ET10000, I want to take video files from hard drive out of my dreambox to put on new hard drive in the ET10000, what needs to be done

Fat32 has sze restriction so not a good idea IMO.

Better to initialise (format) HDD in new receiver and transfer the recordings across.
Or if a caddy is available, use that and connect HDD as an extra storage device and copy across.

exfat gets round the filesize limit if you dont want to use ntfs.
