Really pleased with my ET10000 - few questions tho

Hi All

Just got my box, and I have to say I'm really pleased with it, its a impressive box but I have a few questions.


1. The kids love minecraft (totally lost on me). they love watching youtube videos, is there a simple plugin / addon they can use?

2. I've made it look like a $ky box (using Blue HD skin) so the better half won't complain when I swap it over. Is it possible for the unit to work with a $ky remote?

3. I've noticed that the EPG update can take up to 10 mins and it locks the system out (can't change channel etc). Have I set it up wrong, is there a guide to get it to update UK channels?

4. Why does it have two network ports (1GB & 10/100). Is there a trick I am missing by only using one?

ad 1: If you run ViX, YouTube is available on the feeds (via the pluginbrowser).

ad 2: no

ad 3: For UK TV: Use Cross, set to 'Open-TV'.

ad 4: One for your LAN, one for IPTV (if you have an IPTV-provider).

Thanks for the quick update, can you please expand on pluginbrowser? I assume its under plugins, but I cannot see it.

Long-blue (= pluginbrowser) --> Green (= download plugins)

:) Yup done that - went through all the plugins in the list but I cannot see one called pluginbrowser. If it helps I'm using the Virtuosso Image Xtreme image.

Are you sure you are looking in the right place - it is there.
MENU>PLUGINS this opens the Plugin Browser then press GREEN BUTTON then click on EXTENSIONS page down YOUTUBE is between YAMPMUSICPLAYER and ZAPSTATISTIC (on mine anyway)

System flashed with new image YAH! I've done a backup but as its a complete new kernel I've decided to start fresh..


1. Whats the samba plugin called - so I can access the box from my network

2. Whats the best picon images for Astra 28.2E?
