help with setting up my box.

hi guys.

i have just brought my new box Xtrend ET8000, the box has come flashed with the latest openvix image.
i will be running sat and cable into this box.

can you tell me what else i need to install into this box to get it setup and ready to go, sorry if i am asking stupid questions here but the last box i setup was a azbox about 5 years ago,

download your cams from the download plugins,either mg1.38 or cccam 2.30 for multi tuner boxes.
then you can read the setup guides step by step.

thank you, i have just downloaded the manual and must say it looks really complicated to get this up and running.

as the box has the image already loaded and you have your cam downloaded,setting up epg and autobouquetmaker will get you up and running,you dont need everything but others do:eek:
the box has a wizard for setting box up and you might need to use the user interface to adjust picture to fit tv screen.
once your box is up and running you will be amazed of what it does.:thumbsup:

how do i set this box up to use cable as i have seen nothing about that as yet .
