This is kind of a technical Q that I'm hoping someone can answer.

We run an online radio station and one of the news channels we want to use the news for broadcasts their output only on Sky.

We could simply run a Sky box audio out into an "always on the internet" laptop which has a piece of software on it called BUTT (broadcast using this tool). This piece of software captures audio and streams it to a stream you enter which is exactly what we need.

What I'm trying to do away with is the need for an "always on laptop"

BUTT has a linux version, so I was wondering if anyone knew if you can install standard linux software onto a satellite receiver and run it from the command line.

Basically what we need to do is capture the audio from sky news and broadcast it into a shoutcast stream.
