Hi,

My Vu+ Solo2 was working great until I changed skins from Blue-HD to ViX-Night-HD and now I'm missing the long program descriptions in the EPG? The long descriptions do appear when I'm watching a channel and I press the ok button twice.

I've gone through every menu and I can't seem to get them to appear in the epg? I'm using CrossEpg version 0.8.1

Anyone any ideas why its suddenly not displaying anymore?

Thanks

Image and build used?
A screenshot of what you mean might also help. See Abus signature above for link on how to take screenshots.

This is what the EPG was like before I changed to the pre installed Vix Night skin

Then this is what it looked like after

As you can see in this screenshot the long descriptions are downloaded

So it looks like there's some setting some where which has defaulted to turn off the long descriptions somewhere and I can't find where to turn them back on??

Here's the version details

Hi, I'm going to have a read through the guide but I don't think I've done anything wrong. It looks like some kind of bug unless after changing skins you have to reset the EPG?

Please upload screenshots here infuture, not on an external site.
Your EPG must have corrupted somehow.
Menu -> Setup -> System -> EPG -> Load/Save/Delete -> Delete EPG.
Once done, ext out of the menus & when back on live TV, blue button -> CrossEPG Downloader.

Sorry about the picture's I'll upload them here in future.

I followed you instructions and it still didn't work.

I then did it step by step just to confirm that the delete did work, which it did as there was only the current channels now and next visible in the EPG. I then downloaded the CrossEPG and everything is there but I have the short descriptions and not the long descriptions?

Not sure so.
Maybe time to upgrade to the new 3.2 image.

It does seem like something has gone wrong somewhere, the long descriptions are all there for everything but it's just displaying the short description in the one place I want the long description??

I only got this box on tuesday evening and it was supposed to be set up with the latest OpenVix build like I paid for? How can you tell which version I'm on? I don't see it in any of the screenshots or how can I tell exactly which version is installed?

Is openvix 3.2.003 the latest version? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for all the help :-)

The last image you uploaded shows the version & build, which was current till a new image was released yesteday.
Yes, that's 3.2.003.
Have a look at the release thread for plenty of instructons and dferent ways of flashing it.

Ok I'm sorted now. I used the couch Image update which picked up the lastest build, downloaded it, flashed it. When the Vu+ box was running through the setup it it deteched a backup I made earlier so I restored that and now my EPG guide as working again. The only difference is it hasn't loaded the EGP for 3e as you can see but I'll sort that out now.

If I had just made a backup, flashed latested image, restored backup the EPG problem would have been fixed in about 3 minutes. :D

Thanks for the help! :)
