You don't use DCC - just download it from plug-ins and active it in Softcam manager.

Like I say download from feeds. Then start and stop from soft cam manager.
The config side of if can be done with DCC FTP THEN VAR.

Use a file transfer software like cute or flash, as the guys have said, you can download it from the feeds, or if you want to use one of the transfer proggys, then it goes in usr/softcam, then go to your softcam manager and hit the activate button and the enable form startup [ i do believe m8 ]
