First things first, make sure the Volume on the Vu+ remote is set to 100% beforehand. Press 1 & 3 simultaneously on your Vu+ remote until the TV button illuminates. Then enter the TV code, in your case it is 1628 (LG TV Code). Then hold down the mute button on the Vu+ remote whilst pointing at the TV until the TV mutes. When it mutes, now press the +/- volume buttons and the volume should work. Once done exit out the mode by pressing the ok & stop button (recording stop button). You now have a paired TV remote.

Your HDMI-CEC settings should be;
Enabled - YES
Put TV in standby - NO
Wakeup TV from standby - YES
Regard deep standby as standby - NO
Switch TV to correct input - YES
Use TV remote control - YES
Handle standby from TV - YES
Handle wakeup from TV - YES
Wakeup signal from TV - STREAM REQUEST
Forward volume keys - NO
Put your Vu+ into standby - YES
Wakeup your Vu+ from standby -YES
Minimum send interval - DISABLED
Then green button to save settings. Now you will have a proper working remote where you press the STB this turns your Vu+ receiver off and pressing the TV turns your TV off. And to turn your TV on just press TV on the remote etc.

Still no joy. I've read that other people have the same issue.
Never mind. I've got the Tv button working now so thanks.
