hi my dad has managed to fatory reset his vu duo taking all his settings out. iv set up and locked the channels in but im unsure what i need to config for cccam.

you need to download a softcam from plugins and place a CCcam.cfg file into /var/etc

the contents og the cfg caanot be disscused here as stated in rule #3

That's because u need to install it

Hi hav it,

If you go to menu, then plugins and then press green button to Download Plugins. Then select what cam you want and for the image you have installed and click ok to install it.

Make sure to start the cam in the Softcam setup menu after you have followed what silverfox had touched on above.

I am fairly new to all this so I would not be best to answer this question!

I don't think you need to install Barry Allen, i haven't anyway!

I have VIX 1.3, softcam installed and started and config file updated and I'm up and running.

As I said, I could be wrong if you have a different setup to me!

Barry Allen is only need if you want to multiboot ie use other images and if IIRC VIX cannot be booted of a USB stick you have to install it in flash.

My advice would be to use VIX than read up on forums whats available by way of plugins (& compatible with VIX) and if you want it install it - you don't need to install every single plugin its upto you if you want to!
