Hi guys,

I've currently got the normal sky dish but the builders knocked it around while we were having the extention. The LNB is cracked (still working) but as I'm about to order my new VU Solo 2 tomorrow, I thought I'd better get it sorted.

After a bit of research, I was thinking of getting a slightly bigger dish (80 cm?) And obviously a new LNB (there's a quad on there at the moment) - are there ones for better signal? Am I on the right track? Just after some more channels (ideally HD) for the games that aren't show on sky/bt/setanta..

Id also like to know what zone I'm in - is there a way I can check? I'm in Old Trafford, Manchester..

Also, could someone let me know the satellites I should be aiming for - I know astra 28e is one of them lol.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers
Kaz

If its just premier league your after.. The only place where you will get it is 28.2e..

IIRC.. No premier league fotty on any other satellite.. due to broadcasting restrictions..

19.2 east you should be able to pick up : D+ .. CSAT.. $ky Germany
13.0 east for : $ky Italia.. Cyfrowy-Polsat.. amounst others

Totally Disagree with Mr Mister

There are lots of European subs / Channels with premier league football on them just they are not allowed to carry English audio due to the restrictions

You can get these channels on to name a few sats

23.5E
19.2E
16E
13E
10E
9E
0.8w
4w
15w
30W

Thats only a few of the sats that carry them

Also on Digital + package on 19.2 (C+ channels) you can switch the audio to just crowd noise, no more Michael Owen!!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies!

I've decided on starting with 28, 19 and 13.

Could someone recommend a LNB or are they all the same? Also, the dish i intend to use is the zone 2 sky dish.

Finally, is there a guide to setting it up - I feel pretty confident but just want to ensure I haven't missed anything (just read I need a diqsC switch (it was called something along those lines - the splitter lol).

Cheers
Kaz

You may get 28, 19 and 13 with a 60 cm dish, you either need a motor and universal lnb (recommended ) or an offset arm and 3 lnb and a disceq switch ( too much messing).
