Sd 5000 not blind scanning

a mate has a spiderbox but he was doing a rescann to bring in new channels but they dont appear on standard scan and when he trys a blind scan the box goes to 10% then restarts, i know its an older box but the box should do a blind scan.

if anyone was reading this looking for the same answer see below-
what i did was go into manual scan were you can with the remote put in the-
Frequency
SR number
vertical or horizontal symbol.
then serach.
To get all the channels he was looking for i had to do this a few times for the different Frequencys.
but watch, some times when i went back to the last ones i tuned in they were gone so had to redo that frequency, took a while but all going.
probley an easier way but above worked.
