The freezing conditions across Britain have once again led to the postponement of a host of weekend sporting fixtures.

The Premier League games at Liverpool, Birmingham and Wigan, and Championship ties at Cardiff and Portsmouth are off.

The only League One game still on is at Exeter, while the entire League Two programme has been wiped out.

Scottish Premier League games at St Johnstone, Aberdeen, Hamilton and Rangers are also off while rugby union and horse racing have also been hit.

In Scotland, the First Division matches at Queen of the South, Raith and Ross County have fallen foul of the weather along with a host of games from the lower leagues.

Saturday's race meetings at Ascot, Newcastle, Lingfield and Haydock and Sunday's at Carlisle have also been postponed.

Glasgow's return Heineken Cup clash against Toulouse has been moved from Saturday to Sunday, 19 December and will now kick off at 1400 GMT at the Stade Ernest Wallon

Two games are off in rugby's Welsh Premiership on Saturday together with six British and Irish Cup matches, while one of Sunday's Cup ties has also been postponed.
