Et10k transcoding internet speed

Hi guys,

Looking to buy from the sponsors but wanted to check what the minimum speed for streaming would be using transcoding.
I have 20meg down and 5 up where the box is located but wanted to see how much would be a minimum for a stable stream on my iPad.

on my Duo2 2MBit gives already very good results.

hi Trial, can you just tell me what settings you have on the transcoding, that makes it work good on 2mb internet?

i get just over 3 mg (i know, that rubbish - area i live)and streaming fine on my solo2

I do not know how it looks in a XTrend. I just change bitrate to 2MBit and keep the rest unchanged.

Worry less about your broadband speed and instead read up on how to secure your connection because when you open ports to stream or transcode channels you open your entire network to any one. There have been multiple cases where users receivers have been hacked and channels streamed / stolen because a user opened ports recklessly without knowing how to secure them properly.
