What's this region for on MetrixFHD?

Just upgraded to Hades and installed the MetrixFHD skin on our GB Quad.

Can anyone tell me what should be displayed in the top left of the screen? On the top right the box shows date & time, but on the left it's empty.

Ideally I'd like to show something in the box or remove it. The box only seems to be present when viewing live TV, not on playback of recordings.

It should show the weather information. I recall right, you'll need to install the metrix skincomponents for it to show. Also you need to manually set the weather location id to /etc/enigma2/settings: "config.plugins.MetrixWeather.woeid=nnnnnnnn" (check correct id from metrixweather.open-store.net)
