Hi, I am looking for a replacement remote control unit for the ET9x00 series of units (I have a 9000 and a 9200).

Will any of the newer version work? e.g. the 8000/1000

thanks
Rim

I never heard about any new version personally.

I already told you about the new ones in my original post i.e. the remotes that come with the et8000 or the et10000

I really don't understand your reply?

I'll try to make the question simpler..... will the remote controllers for the et8000 or the et10000 work with the et9000 or et9200?

I understood your question but I'm saying that as far I know there is not newer or compatible RCU for et9000 which basically has only one model.
The RCU for et8000 is compatible with et10000 and they are exchangeable.
You can investigate for unofficial solution as i.e. Logitech is producing some universal RCU which can be used for several devices but they are quite expensive.
Possibly there are cheaper solution with universal RCU but I doubt that we can easily find the code to program it properly.

If it's just a case of the buttons no longer working fix it yourself. Open it by sliding a phone or credit card along the seam and then using superglue and aluminium foil on the faulty buttons you can recover it.
