Hi guys currently have a twin tuner box but am looking to upgrade due to it being crap!

I don't want to spend too much around £150ish...

I have a looked at the VU Solo SE V2 Twin tuner box

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Thanks for your response... I'd rather stay with brands which are well known. The colour and size of the box isn't to my taste!!

Anymore suggestions are welcome

Any further replies, I have found one box here

http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Digital-Satellite-Receivers/Vu/VU-Plus-Solo-SE-V2-2x-DVB-S2

but no reviews on it as yet

Please advise if you have experienced this box in action

It's a VU - it does what you want it to do - what's not to like ?

If you've got the extra 50 quid I'd go for the Solo2. I've had a Solo SE and I've got a Solo2. Solo2 has a quality, metal enclosure. It's fan cooled. Can take an internal hard drive and the tuners are superior to the 6222 tuner card. If it is for satellite, for me spending the extra is a no-brainer.

Thanks for your input...

Have narrowed it down to VU Solo2 and VU Solo SE V2

I'm not really bothered about the VFD or internal hard drive on the Solo2

However I know the Solo SE V2 has only been out for a couple of months or so. It has 512MB flash as opposed to 256MB on the Solo2

Am I purely paying for cosmetics, VFD, and internal slot for HDD on the Solo2.

Both are excellent receivers, if you are not fussed about having an internal hdd n vfd then go with the Vu+ Solo SE V2.0. [emoji106]🏼

Am I purely paying for cosmetics, VFD, and internal slot for HDD on the Solo2.No. Like I said above, quality enclosure, fan cooled, superior tuner, and also, much more accurate blind scan.
