I'm looking for a cable receiver for family...

The requirements:-

At least twin cable tuner (and good quality)
Reliable box
Supported by Vix (obviously :) )
Universal type remote (need to be able to switch tv off/on and adjust volume/channel at minimum)
Specs close to that of Solo2 (specifically fast CPU and large ram)
Ideally Scart lead on back (just for tv sender to nearby room)

Sponsor WoS is currently down for maintenance.

Has anyone got any suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

probably the et8000, 3 pluggable tuner slots, so you could do what u wanted.

my et8500 uses same remote and that can control my lg tv.
specs same as solo2, if not better
cant remember about scart on the back when i had one

i dont think you'll get anything better in that price bracket.

Thanks for replies.

I have a Solo2 and love that so would love a Duo2 but can't justify the price tbh.

Currently edging towards XTrend as it ticks all boxes and is relatively cheap. I would prefer black to match existing decor but I guess we can't have everything lol

Apart from colour and one extra tuner, what's the difference between ET8000 and the ET10k?

If you have solo2 buy 2 Vu+ turbo tuners, so long as you have 2 tap points on your wall you should be alright

I think I may go with the ET8000 with 2x dvb-c tuners (3x max).

Do I have to loop from one tuner to the other. If so, is it possible to get really short F connector leads?

Also, how are the two tuners (A and B) setup?

4th tuner and hardware transcoding. (& hdmi in , 2nd Lan conection))
ET8000 is a really solid box that delivers high performance and at WoS good price value.
Also (although not that important) for you, supported with images from all the main Enigma teams.
