Hi i live in kent but my cable comes from basildon as far as i can tell but i am wondering on autobouquet what the differences are between basildon 1 2 3 & 4 as cant find anything about it anywhere

For the purposes of ABM, the only differences are the Net ID.

so which one would i scan as ive managed to scan 1 &3 but couldnt tell any difference

Unless you are in a pure area, you need the one that is correct for the headend serving your area. Check your offcial receiver in the engineers menu. Using the wrong one results in "Sid not found in Pat" issues. For ex-CW and Telewest areas, we just added all the data we found.

If all four work for you without issue, happy days. Worth bearing in mind the cable network used different technologies to begin with. They were amalgamated as companies over time even though technologies remained different in some atreas and in others they were converted.
