DM7020s Help needed

Hey guys need some help i have my hdd setup to my 7020 and dnt have a CF card so i was thinking of plugging in a USB flas drive.

well with that said what i want to do then is follow the steps outlined by [rytec] doglover to get epg working and also get my picons on there too

what i need to know is with pli how and if i need to is initialise and mount the usb and also where is the setting to direct the epg and picons so it looks for them in the usb

i know how to do it on vix and that vix has the menu just dont know on the 7020

any help would help me please

iv'e never used a usb drive on my receiver as iv'e always had a 200 gig IDE drive fitted internally.

yeah i have a 200ide in mine too but for the spinup and down i would prefer to have it on usb i know that many ppl do it on CF card but i dont have one

also how do i actually download epg data this is a real challenge of a box for me

may just have to get a solo

lol well as for the epg i'e never bothered with it. the sky dodgy box does that nicely so i have never had a need for it on my DM's

For the Picons go into settings and OSD options and enable PLICONS. I than just DCC them to the USB and rebooted and worked fine.

For the USB, just plug it in the back and it will self mount. To check go into settings and hardware and it will show there and you will be able to format and unmount.

The EPG is a bugger. I have managed to download it but not for BBC1 to SKY 3 and channel mapping freezes the box for me.

stan at the moment i have my pions pack in /media/hdd/picon and i have show plicons with a tick i restarted and i have the skin that you really like i think its called army gmb and i still dont see no picon's

The trick I did with the picons is move yours from the HDD and than download them from the feed and than copy and past yours over them.

Did you do a reboot after installing the picons? I am using your SD pack on a USB stick and working fine. The DM is taking a break but hopefully tommorrow I will hook it up and check everything again.

got that trick to work now cant find new picon folder on hdd

There isnt one from the feed it downloads it inti engima IIRC
