Hi i have one of these boxes, TM-800 given to me by a friend, i have a Vu Duo as my main box and don't know much about this box except it's not very good :)

I have been trying for a few hour to find a working EPG solution

All the Rytec providers are dead, i discovered the epgupdate plugin i was using only tried the first link the in providers xml and then gave up. i've tried them all individually and searched for hours online for solutions and other links and i give up, some that were working as recently as april this year no longer work, sites down or dead links

So.... i keep seeing everyone mention CrossEPG ( which i use on my Vu Duo ) , but i cannot seem to find a version which works with this box? been looking for 5 or 6 hours straight, and have about 50 tabs open on my browser, but have gotten nowhere

is there anything at all?

Thanks :)

The drivers for teh TM800HD never allowed it to work with OpenTV providers. Only way is to download ins internet based sources such as Rytec. You will have to update teh Rytec sources.

Thanks for quick reply. :)

The problem i have is that the EPGimport plugin i have has no update function,so i tried editing the Rytec sources xml manually, but i still have gotten nowhere, none of the sources work any more, all the links are down and i don't have a way to get the new sources, if there are indeed any?

TM produce some great boxes but also produce some duds along the way.
If it's is a choice betwen these two boxes, stick to your VU.

Hehe yeah this box does suck a bit, but it was free :) there is no way it would replace my vu duo, i was going to use it in the kids room :)

Copy the rytec sources from current image on Duo and replace the ones on TM800.

And put your kids through a hatred of TM boxes? not worth it. Free isn't always best...
TM do a decent range of E2 boxes these days though.

Apart from the TM800, all their E2 boxes are fine.
