video files transferred to hard drive in my box via ftp.....

seem to be very grainy and juddery,if you know what i mean? the files are perfect to watch on my pc,is there anything i should be doing to help the quality?

It's a known issue with Divx files, MKV with AC3 audio tend to play perfectly. Think we will have to wait for updated Enigma 2 codecs unfortunately.

I may just be imagining it, but I think Autoresolution has made some of the Divx files I play less grainy and juddery by playing them at the correct hertz.

thanks mick...is it the auotresolution that makes a little box pop up in the top left hand corner giving info on the playback of the file every 30 secs or so? can this be turned off?

You can turn off the little black box, just go into the Autoresolutions settings and set it (i think it's infobar) to off.
