View Full Version : Vu+ Duo - crashes constantly with most images?

My vu+Duo that I had for longer than 3 years now, has recently being unable to cope with any of the latest images. I tried few blackhole images including an old version 1.7.7 lite. Also I tried VTI image. However, still having issues my Vu+Duo crashes every hour.

• Is this an issue with Vu+ Duo’s brain getting old or is it because of the images?

• I was told to try installing the original image but I could not find the links to the plugins, files, and the process on how to install Cccam on an original image from scratch. Could anyone provide me with details to do so

• Are there any suggestions to what would be the next receiver if Vu+Duo is no longer the boss in the market?

Your input is much appreciated

Cheers

If it crashes, you should upload crash logs so others can assist in determining issue.

It may be worth your while adding the cache flush plugin. Also activate a swap file too.

The vu+duo freezes constantly around every 30 min. I have to turn it off and turn it on again from the back switch or the main plug. it crashes more with the subscribed channels than the free to air. is this means the condenser need to be replaced? please crashlog above.

Have you checked for any lose braid on F-plug?

If you send your dish to 28.2 and then pretend your dish is not motorised and set the tuner as fixed 28.2. Do you still get a crash? If yes, is it possible to test on another dish, maybe a friend/relative's?

my dish is not motorised. the building has 2 satellite dishes and feeds the hotbird and Astra in one cable to the flat. it must be a hardware issue as I am now using a friend's vu+ duo and working fine.
