Hi All,
just setting up my new Duo2 but having a problem with a green cast on the picture using SCART RGB output.
CBVS and SVideo seem to work but quality is poor compared with RGB.
the TV also has component in but that gives a redish pink cast????

I see some other people have had similar problems with Panasonic TV's and VU+ receivers:

does anyone have a work around or am i stuck with having to replace the TV?

Thanks
Mark

first of all check scart lead is fully inserted,duo2 needs a hdmi for better results, using a scart on a solo for testing purpose.

The SCART lead is probably not fully plugged in. The SCART carries red, green and blue on different wires and if one of the connections is not making you get a colour cast

Example of what you get if one of the colours goes missing

When I used SCART in the past I always used flat ribbon cable SCART leads as they put less strain on the mating half and remained more firmly in, especially when moving boxes.

Also, only get SCART leads with fully screened connectors

Pin 7 of the SCART lead carries the Blue for RGB and also one of the component channels when selecting component. Perhaps the pin is shorted internally in the shells of the lead to one of the other pins hence killing the signal on that pin - giving the colour casts you are seeing. Try another lead or dismantle the shells on either end of the lead to see if there is a poor joint or stray wire shorting to another pin. The shells usually just clip together.

[Edit]

The manual for your TV says only SCART 1 and SCART 3 support RGB (SCART 2 doesn't)

Also switching between inputs standards on the TV isn't automatic with SCART connections. You may have to select RGB on your box and also select RGB manually from a menu on the TV.

Hi,
when you get a pink YUV picture it is often a sign that the box is not switched to YUV output.
