Mutant HD 2400 Opening the Box

Hi Everyone,
I am receiving my new Mutant box tomorrow and as per normal I would usually just dive in and plug it in with out reading any instructions. I know there are plenty of users who have done this but what I am asking are there any things I need to do beforehand.
My existing boxes (V5 and Octagon 2028) are fairly straight forward and after reading some threads this may not be, if you can share any of those "I wish I had done that first moments" :confused: I would really appreciate your input

I've had my Mutant for a few months now and believe me it is a brilliant box. My backside was going ten to the dozen when I first got it but after reading the guides on this site I was up and running within a few hours and the help and support on here is fantastic. Did you purchase it from W.O.S and did you have the latest image installed etc .

Hi Bazzer thanks for your reply ordered it yesterday (WOS) coming tomorrow yes with the latest Vix image installed , I have had very little exposure to images as the v5s was already setup and the octagon cant be changed from what I have read.

Thing to do mate is take your time and read the guides . If you get stuck or worried just ask on here and you will get all the help you need . You won't be disappointed with the Mutant very fast and quite easy to operate with few issues so far for me. The only thing i was not impressed with was the remote control so I went and bought a Universal one a Logitech Harmony 650 which is very good so I only have one remote now instead of four. :thumbsup:
