Dream Explorer not working on Hades

Hi guys n girls...had my LX2 about 2 month now was running apollo 166 and everything was great....so have updated with hades...i can't manage to get dreamexplorer downloaded. ..
do I need to download anything before hand...many thanks in advance

I think there is an issue becasue of gstreamer changes.

Are you aware that you can browse files on your receiver using your PC. No need to install anything. Your receiver should show up in My computer > Network

I used it before and found it handy...my friend suggested filezilla to send over to my box....

I have chanegd the title fo your thread from "hades update" to "Dream Explorer not working on Hades" and moved the thread to plugin support.

Please try installing this and check if it works fine for you.

Please test the plugin. If it works fine, we can remove the dependency.

Im new to this when i ask where do i put it....and what is ipk

An ipk is an installation package (installer).

There are several ways to install.
1. Put on USB stick and connect to receiver. Receiver must be out of all menus, ie showing TV. You will be asked to install.

2. Transfer to /tmp/ directory in receiver. In the vix menu. There is an option to install local extension.

My laptop hasn't picked the box up...It was there earlier...any suggestions

It's picked it up again after a restart of laptop...will do that now....do I try and download the dreamexplorer to my box agin

Yes please.

Blue button> Vix > Install local extension

im getting this also on hades latest tried via usb on stick also on filezilla but wont work even the download ipk file you posted ,same as mediaportal from feeds wont work same message

When you install those plugins via telnet using <force depends> they will work inspite of the reported errors.
eg:

opkg install --force-depends enigma2-plugin-extensions-dreamexplorer

Just put that on usb and installed in the usb at front...It says
done - installed, upgraded or removed 0 packages (with 0 errors)

The ipk in post 5 installs. If people experienced with the plugin are happy that the dependency being left out does not cause issues, we can put it on the feeds so you can install from the plugin menu.

I installed DreamExplorer on Hades 012 from the feeds without any issue.

for me it still doesn`t work with Hades 12 ... :confused:

It looks like 'something' (no idea what) has changed. I flashed DUO2 & Ultimo with Hades 012 and Dreamexplorer installed fine.
Maybe it doesn't work when updating the image from an earlier version (just guessing).
