View Full Version : [VU+ Duo2] CCCam stops by itself

I have a Vu+ Duo2 with ViX Apollo preinstalled by WOS (Build 165) and CCCam2.3.0 and MGcamd.1.35a.

I've used MGcamd previously but I have now deleted the config files from /var/keys and MGcamd is turned off but I am using CCCam.

But CCCam stops itself after a few minutes and it eventually starts again if I don't start it myself.

Is this an CCCam issue, should I uninstall it and use a different version, is there a more stable one? Or is it something else I should have a look at?

theres various cams available. cccam, mgcamd, etc etc. 2.3.0 is the one you need to use or mgcamd 1.35a & 1.38, I can use al three with no issues. the other issue could be your internet connection or the way you view your channels (who your provider is)

Ive just tested cccam 2.3.0,mgcam 1.35a & 1.38 and oscam on hades and there is no issue with the cams stopping so i would flash with the latest hades,only other thing making sure you have other cams stopped and enable start up ticked on the cam your using in softcam manager

I too have this problem in my VU+ Duo2. I can use earlier versions of CCcam, like 2.1.3 or 2.1.4, but they can`t read cards. Only CCcam 2.3.0 can read the cards but it stops working after a couple of minutes. I`ve tried every image I can find, but I still get the same problem, it just stops working. I had the exact same problem when I bought a Dreambox 7080, I never solved the problem with that box either. Anyone have any ideas? I don`t use any other emu.
ttt.

Cccam is mega long in the tooth and because it is closed source the rest of the world has moved on and cccam is not only ready for the knackers yard but also because of changes in the oe core over the past 12 months it is now incompatible with newer images (multi tuner no longer works, lots of channels don't decrypt etc) time for everybody to do a little but of research and switch to oscam.

CCcam 2.3.0 works fine here with 4 tuners and multidecoding.Image Hades 10 on VU+ DUO2

Here CCcam 2.3.0 periodically freezes with Hades build 008 (have not tired any later builds) and my own sky card on a solo2 about every fifteen minutes, it resumes again after a few seconds but it has been like this since I upgraded to Hades for me.

For French TV (19.2E & 13.0E) I was using CCcam 2.3.0. It stops working and shows as inactive.

To solve this I downgraded to CCcam 2.2.1 and it works fine.

Not sure why this is but something seems to switch of the Cccam

exactly same problem here on some 19.2 channels, only with 2.3.0 (2.2.1 & 2.1.4 work fine but dont support PiP & simultaneous decryption on multiple channel - record & watch ) . Vix 3.2.007 on Duo2. (problem has been here since at least Apollo and before ... )

CCcam stops when zapping on those channel(s). .prio config can fix it, but I havent understood "how" and how to fix the couple of channels which seems to be missing from the .prio I have.
If anyone is able to help, I'd be interested... more details in PM ?

thanks, didnt solve my issue as the files is about NL channels, I am more into FR channels.
I found out that using VTI image, problem is the same (CCcam 2.3.0 stops with some channels). However, 2.1.3 decrypts simultaneous channels... which solves my problem. Ill hate to stop using ViX but if it's the only solution...

Why use an old, no longer updated, closed source cam?
Try using oscam.

Why can't you use oscam?

Pretty sure this discussion is going in direction explicitely disallowed by forum rules ... so cant really answer.

There is no rule to say you can't discuss Oscam, the rules permit you from discussing card sharing, as long as you don't mention anything to do with this or line talk you will be fine.

thanks. So could I theoretically use a C line in oscam ?

And, there you go, breaking the site rules...

As said above the 19°e channels do not work well with CCcam. You could spend a lot of time changing images and settings to get a semi-working setup.

If is far easier learning how to use OScam, as OScam copes with the 19°e channels without any problems at all.

install oscam and convert the necessairy with :
http://tekreaders.com/blog/2011/02/28/cccam-to-oscam-converter/ . Then copy server and user in right directory and restart.Did it that way for my CD Nl and TVV cards and working fine.

i Have tried:

[reader]
label = SoftCam.Key
protocol = constcw
device = /usr/keys/SoftCam.Key
group = 1
emmcache = 1,1,2,1

[reader]
label = biss
protocol = constcw
device = /usr/keys/constant.cw
caid = 2600
group = 1

but doesnt work.

Err I think a mod is going to close this, you have broken the rules, biss key talk is not allowed, tbh I'm surprised it wasn't closed when the guy used the c word.
