View Full Version : USB Tuner For Sat
Hi All
Can anyone recommend a USB tuner that works for sat on a Solo 2 running Vix Hades? I'm getting a motorised dish but want to leave my sky dish in place and would ideally like 3 tuners.
Thanks,
Dvb sky 960. There is also sundtek stick
Thanks for the reply, not cheap then.
Found the DVB 960 for £47 delivered from Germany on http://www.dvbshop.net/
Does the above sound about right?
Don't expect the performance to be as good as fixed or original plug and play tuners.

Just to add to this, I have tried both dvbSky 960 and sundtek usb sat tuners with solo2, the sundtek is way more reliable than the dvbsky and has great technical support including skype.
What model Sundtek tuner?
Edit: Just looked and guess this is the one http://sundtek.com/shop/Digital-TV-Sticks-oxid/Sundtek-SkyTV-Ultimate-IV-DVB-S/S2.html
Cheaper anywhere else?

What would you suggest then, selling the solo and buying a duo?

You mean Duo2?
Cheaper options than Duo2 available. See ET8000 http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&filter_name=ET8000, ET8500 http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&filter_name=ET8500 and Mutant HD2400 http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Digital-Satellite-Receivers/Mutant-Linux-HD-Receivers
Yes sorry i mean Duo2, not really a option to sell and replace though at the moment.
Will get USB tuner and hope for the best i guess.
