View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] How to watch video and audio from different channels?
Hi
I wondered if it is possible to watch video and audio from different channels?
For example
This week RTE 2 HD will be showing the champions league match between Madrid and Juventus and so will sky sports in SD, is there a way to watch RTE HD with sky sports commentary?
Thanks in advance

Yes, use pip, only thing is you will get a delay between SD and HD channels or with 2 HD channels when trying with different satellites, you can play with audio delay in your box or maybe better on your amp (if you have one).
Thanks for the quick reply ill give it a go.
Thanks,
Be aware that audio & PIP have a few serious issues on current VU drivers for the Solo2.
Are you advising not to update to Hades (was planning to fresh flash tonight) or is the issue existent in Apollo 166 also?

Issue in Apollo drivers too. Update and see if what you want works, then let us know.
Upgraded to Hades 007 and it seems to work OK, i will try out properly tomorrow for the football.
Thanks for the info
Works ok but its massively out of sync, are there any plugins out there to delay the video/audio?
Unfortunately have no amp and can't find any settings on VU solo 2 running hades 18.

You will need to delay via the audio settings in the receiver.

Hi Andy
I've changed the AC3 and PCM delay to 1000 in settings>AV settings but it makes no difference the picture is still in sync when it should be 10 seconds out??
Am I missing something here?

You are syncing/adjusting audio to video stream on same channel.
You cannot overcome the fact that teh broadcasters are not broadcasting simultaneous transmissions. You get differnce between terreretrial/satellite/cable channels too.
I suppose you can mess around with timeshift and delay the fast one.
Ok thanks, it would be a really nice feature if there was a plugin for this :-)
I will give the time shift idea a go.
Thanks
Works well thanks for the tip
