I Love my Mut@nt HD 2400 it's a fantastic receiver i even like the remote control and i tend to use it more than my Duo2

I have just bought a Xtrend ET 10k and i have to say that is on par as good as the Mut@nt and it has a better remote control, check it's little brother out the 3 tuner ET 8000 WOS has a fantastic deal on them at the moment

Hi, I was looking at getting the VU+ DUO as I thought that was the 'Ferrari' of the HD Combo receivers. But I am now leaning towards either the Mut@nt HD2400 or the Xtrend ET10000. With there only being £6 of a difference, the price isn't going to influence my decision...so what do you reckon is the better of the two, and why?

I think you need to be clear about your requirements ... If only watching/recording then unless you really need 4 tuners, the ET8000 is the better buy.... Otherwise between the ET10000/mutant probably only down to the remote:)

I personally think xtrend et10000 is a better box. Better looking and takes both size hardrives.
And of course the remote control is very nice

I disagree, out of the four receivers I have (Mut@nt HD2400, Vu+ Solo2, Vu+ Uno and Xtrend ET10K) the Xtrend is in last place and my least fave! But like I've said before, this is my personal preference. [emoji4]

Hi Andy

You said this before but you've never gave any mention of why? Others have spelt out why the Extrend is better it terms it actually does more

Do you have any actual benefits to describe with the mutant?

Please trying being more helpful with yout replies rather than just saying it better and you like it as this this will help the op make a more informed choice.

By the way the Extrend is better

I guess the mut@nt has that SD card slot thingy that just came out. I guess thats the only thing i can think it has over the xtrend
