Have a vu+duo haven't been used for over a year, flashed bootloader and vix 166 all works ok except when i switch off at night i have to use the switch at back to start it in morning. There is no red light and can switch on and off all day with out any problems. Is this showing signs of of the red light problem or software problem.

Have flashed bootloader with the latest vix image and still will not wakeup after long inactivity. Can use all day with out problems total memory 131372, free memory 12756, buffers 312, cached 36572, total swap 32764,free swap 32644, flash total 101.1m, freeflash 28.2m. Replaced capacitor just in case although no signs of red light. :confused:

Yes swap file is enabled.

Have a 2tb hard drive with a 32mb swap file.

Can you delete the swap file and create a 256mb one and try that please?

Ok have created a 256mb swap file do you think this was stopping it from waking up after switching off at night.

I'm hopeful it will cure your issue, do you have ABM and CrossEPG to scan in a morning? When you say switching off at night, I hope you mean putting into standby mode yeah?

Have ABM & CrossEPG to update at 1am, standby mode switching it off on remote marked stb.

Have change the times to 1am and 4am will try anything once. lol.

Andy_Hazza u were 100% right [emoji120] box switched on after being off at night. Now I can sell it knowing the stb is 100% ok with the capacitor replaced although it did not need it. [emoji481][emoji481][emoji481]
